About
The Fella Goes Arctic is the monicker of solo electronic / big beat / breakbeat artist Conor “TheFella” MacNeill. In front of a computer screen, during a 2001 recording session in Belfast, TFGA was born. A bassist with a love of rock was now experimenting with synths, loops and samples. A brainstorm became a song title, became an artist.
Since that day, The Fella Goes Arctic has been producing music on and off, used across the world from festivals
to extreme sports videos. His music has been described as original and modern beat-driven underground
electronica
and likened to such bands as The Prodigy, The Crystal Method and The
Propellerheads.
Tech Stuff
All the tracks are laid down on computer using a mixture of samples, VST and live recording. The hardware ranges from M-Audio and TerraTec to Behringer and Shure. The software includes Cubase SX, Cakewalk, FL Studio and Acid Pro.
